I have been a very satisfied customer of Auswide Bank since 1989 when I transferred to Bundaberg with Education Queensland. Back then this new bank began as Wide Bay Capricorn Building Society, then Wide Bay Australia and in 2015 became Auswide Bank.
I have used a range of products and services including my initial home loan then investment loan. I have arranged a credit card through them and over the years had term deposits, lines of credit and home/contents insurance.
The service I have received from the staff has always been exemplary with a focus on the needs of the customer. Through my extensive involvement as a very satisfied client of nearly 30 years, I have been impressed particularly by their personal service, competitive rates and their community commitment.
While Principal of Kalkie State School, the Parents and Citizens Association and the school conducted an annual Bike-A-Thon from the school to Innes Park which was later changed to Mon Repos as the roads became busier. This event was an important fundraiser for the school. We received considerable sponsorship throughout those years from Auswide Bank. Their willingness to support this event was greatly appreciated by the students and the wider school community.
In more recent years I've been a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise. Our club's community work has also been well supported by Auswide Bank through their sponsorship of our Multicultural Festival. Our festival provides food, entertainment and cultural diversity for around 15,000 visitors annually.
Our club values this strong partnership with Auswide Bank and money raised by our Rotary club is distributed to various community groups as part of our Annual Givings.
I have been a loyal customer for many years but loyalty is gained through good experiences; Auswide Bank has created a very satisfied customer from their commitment to me as an everyday client, but also through their corporate support of our community.
